{"id":348,"date":"2013-08-17T19:11:15","date_gmt":"2013-08-17T23:11:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cocktailfarmers.com\/?p=348"},"modified":"2013-08-17T19:11:15","modified_gmt":"2013-08-17T23:11:15","slug":"still-growing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/cocktailfarmers.com\/?p=348","title":{"rendered":"Still growing&#8230;&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This year we decided to grow Kellogg tomatoes.\u00a0 Mostly because the name brought breakfast cereal to mind:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cocktailfarmers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/CIMG6810.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-349\" alt=\"CIMG6810\" src=\"http:\/\/cocktailfarmers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/CIMG6810-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/cocktailfarmers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/CIMG6810-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/cocktailfarmers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/CIMG6810-624x468.jpg 624w, http:\/\/cocktailfarmers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/CIMG6810.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They are a bright yellow-orange, like the one in the photo above, when they are fully ripe.\u00a0 These tomatoes are not quite as flavorful as Brandywines, but they add a nice pop of color to a tomato salad.\u00a0 Online searches told us that they can get large enough that they hang over the edges of sandwich bread when split horizontally.
